ArtsPlate.org is the promotional website for the California Arts License Plate ("Arts Plate"). For other DMV-related functions such as vehicle registration, renewal, etc., please visit www.dmv.ca.gov.

Privacy Policy
The California Arts Council, the California state agency responsible for ArtsPlate.org, respects the privacy of users of ArtsPlate.org.
Registration information: Direct purchases of sequential or personalized Arts Plates are conducted by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). See DMV Privacy Policy
Terms and Conditions
Arts Plate Transactions. Direct purchases of sequential or personalized Arts Plates are conducted by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). These transactions will reflect a payment to the DMV, and not directly to the Arts Council; however, the Arts Council will still benefit from these transactions.
Charitable Contributions-Arts Plate and Voucher Purchases. Purchases of Arts Plates may be considered a charitable contribution to the Arts Council for tax purposes.
Charitable Contributions-Donations. Donations to the Arts Council at ArtsPlate.org may also be considered charitable contributions for tax purposes.
Copyright, ArtsPlate.org. The contents and software coding of ArtsPlate.org – unless specified otherwise -- are the property of the California Arts Council and all rights are reserved. You may not reproduce any of the contents except to make copies for personal use and reference.
Copyright, Arts Plate Image. The image on the Arts Plate is titled "Coastline" and was created by California artist Wayne Thiebaud in 1993. Mr. Thiebaud has given permission to the State of California, the California Department of Motor Vehicles, and to the Arts Council and its vendors to use "Coastline" for Arts Plates and Arts Plate promotions only. Unauthorized uses of the "Coastline" image are not allowed.
Indemnification. Except for the website operator’s use of your personally identifiable information, you agree to defend and indemnify the Arts Council and the DMV from and against any claims, expenses or liabilities made against or incurred by any of them in connection with your use of ArtsPlate.org, or violation of these Terms and Conditions.
Risk. Except for the website operator’s use of your personally identifiable information, use of the internet and this website is at your risk and the Arts Council is not responsible for losses resulting from the use of, or from an inability to use, this website. Such losses include but are not limited to losses caused by viruses or bugs, defects in this website, interference by an authorized third party, fraud or theft, technical failure, deletions or delays.
Updates to Terms and Conditions. The Arts Council reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time in its discretion. Substantive changes to the Privacy Policy and/or Terms and Conditions will be noted or linked to from this webpage. All terms and conditions are applicable to the extent permitted by law.
Acceptance. Use of Arts Plate Vouchers and www.artsplate.org constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
